My " new " 65 Monza convertible is coming along. Yesterday I added a right side bowtie mirror, spoiler and driving lights. Still tring to get use to the color. Who knows, maybe I'll learn to like it. Solid car and drives out very nice.
Tri-State 2017 will be held in Taos, New Mexico and plans are already underway for this annual event . Corvairs of New Mexico is hosting and , although the Tri-State information page is incomplete , there is at least enough information for you to get started . The host hotel is already taking reservations. What is missing is the banquet cost/choices and t-shirt info to be posted later.

Ran across this post the other day. In 1968, the Camaro came out for the first time with no vent window and it has been re-imagined for the Corvair since the roof line or more specifically the A pillar is so similar if not exactly the same . And here's what it looks like actually done. There's a post on corvaircenter.com forum that details what it would take to do this. Just wanted to share this . If you look at the EM next to it, it appears to have lost it's vent window as well. The doors handles have also been shaved for a very clean look. No emblems or side view mirror.
Looking forward to swapping info and maybe even parts.
