Tierra Wools Tour
Los Ojos, N.M.
Picture
Visit our more than 100 year old weaving studio & showroom to see a glimpse
of a time when the Rio Grande weaving tradition maintained village artisans
through long cold winters. Back then, Rio Grande weavers quenched a deep thirst
for color, harmony and spirituality by weaving for family, church and community.
Today, Tierra Wools continues that legacy, providing a place for local weavers
to hone their age-old craft and explore new frontiers in designs and techniques
that are rooted in tradition.
Tour Tierra Wools to see a presentation of Northern New Mexico history including area sheep herding and the Rio Grande weaving tradition.
In addition, see a demonstration of wool dying with natural dyes, a spinning demonstration and a weaving demonstration.

WE HAVE ARRANGED FOR A SPECIAL SATURDAY TOUR ON MAY 31ST, 2014

Tours are 1-2 hours.
Fees: $6.50 per person including refreshments
          $5.50 per person without refreshments
          $4.50 per child

Read all about Tierra Wools at
www.tierrawools.com
http://www.handweavers.com/ince

Please sign up for the tour here by name and how many will be going on the tour. Once we have reached the max (20) , this form will be taken down and the group going will be listed.

Important note: Tierra Wools does not normally offer tours on a Saturday. The store manager must call ahead to have artisans come in by special arrangement and needs some lead time to make this happen. She has requested that we let her know if we have enough people for a tour one month in advance. If you think you would like to take this tour, please sign up asap or at least by April 30th, 2014. Thank you. Use the form below to sign up.

You may also use this contact form should you have any questions or concerns about other matters.

We are also considering a driving tour to Cumbres Pass . A round trip of approximately 40 miles. Once we reach the bottom of the pass, there may be great photo ops as the Cumbres & Toltec Historic Railway slows to take the hairpin turn and follow Wolf Creek on it's way to Osier, Colorado. More information and sign up at the hospitality center . This tour will take place following the car show and return in time to go to the banquet.
